DE TELEGRAAF AND ENDEMOL TO DEVELOP JOINT PROJECTS
Joint venture aims at convergence.
Together, the publishing company De Telegraaf and producer Endemol are launching a joint venture to develop projects in a diversity of areas such as entertainment, cars, health and lifestyle. With this objective in mind, both parties today signed a letter of intent. The projects in question will be exploited in changing combinations of printed media, consumer trade fairs and the platforms of television, computers and telephone. The joint venture, of which both parties own fifty percent, will be aimed at the Dutch market.
Media companies such as Endemol and De Telegraaf are searching for possibilities to further develop themselves in a multi-media direction. Both parties consider their knowledge and expertise in the field of creating and exploiting content, complementary. Combining this expertise should achieve an acceleration in the development of the type of convergence-projects at which the joint venture is aimed.
The present core activities of De Telegraaf and Endemol are not part of the cooperation. Whether or not and how the core activities can be utilized in support, will be decided for each individual project.
