M.A.M. Boersma proposed as member of TMG Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board of TMG (Telegraaf Media Groep N.V.) is proposing Mr M.A.M. Boersma as a new member of the Supervisory Board. The proposal is related to the vacancy created by the departure of Mr H.L. Weenen.

Mr Boersma (1947) has been proposed in view of his wide experience in managing companies and his knowledge of the business world in general. Mr Boersma is an independent business advisor and member of the Supervisory Board of PostNL, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Prorail and KEMA N.V. and non-executive member of the Board of Neste Oil Corporation (Helsinki/Finland). He is also a member/chairman of several foundations. Mr Boersma was a member and chairman of the Executive Board of Essent N.V in the period 2003 - 2009. Between 1972 and 2002, Mr Boersma occupied various positions at Royal Dutch Shell in the Netherlands and abroad. Latterly he was president of Shell Global Solutions International B.V. in The Hague in the Netherlands.

This proposal is made under the suspensive condition that the General Meeting of Shareholders and the Central Works Council do not make a recommendation as referred to in Article 2:158 (5) of the Civil Code of the Netherlands.

An Extraordinary General Meeting will take place on 30 August 2011. One of the agenda items will be the appointment of Mr Boersma. A summons to the AGM will be issued next month.
